On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, Rupert Pagitsch not only celebrated his 65th birthday. He also hosted a party at his award-winning restaurant Goldader in Tamsweg to officially announce the major event of the company's handover.
In 1995, Rupert and his wife Anna founded a drywall and plastering company, which they have steadily developed over the years. Always with a visionary outlook, they expanded their business areas, opening additional locations in Austria alongside their headquarters in Tamsweg. With approximately 150 employees, they are now one of the largest and most innovative companies in the region. They were pioneers in establishing their own company-run kindergarten in 2007, and with the construction of a unique nature-based kindergarten spanning over 3,000 square meters, they created a true paradise for children – animals, a mine, an adventure biotope, raised beds, a stream, and more offer children a rich learning and play environment in nature.
But that's not all. In 2019, as part of the expansion of the production hall in Tamsweg, Rupert Pagitsch built his own restaurant – "Goldader – Alpine Kulinarik". And, as one would expect, the high quality of his work and his ambitious approach continue in the restaurant business. The restaurant was awarded two toques by Gault Millau. His constant striving for improvement, always with the aim of achieving the highest quality, paid off and was duly rewarded over the years with several business awards: "You simply have to always follow your own path. They were certainly tough, but wonderful years," says Rupert Pagitsch.
Now his two children, Anni Fasching and Christian Pagitsch, are taking over the company and want to continue the impressive legacy their father left behind with great motivation, conviction, and commitment. The two new leaders agree: "We will give our best and follow in his footsteps."
