NEW LOCAL SUPERMARKET WITH SPACIOUS UNDERGROUND CAR PARKING

The EUROSPAR on Breitenangerstraße is an important local supplier for the small town of Grein in Upper Austria. Built in 1992 as a classic SPAR supermarket, it was expanded in 2004 into a EUROSPAR with 1,000 square meters of sales area. By the early 2020s, however, even the expanded store had become outdated, so the company decided to construct a completely new building right next to the old one. Since 2023, the residents of this tranquil town on the Danube have been enjoying their new EUROSPAR.

MORE SPACE AND MORE STAFF

The sales area was increased once again and now measures 1,500 square meters. This also created new jobs: The number of employees – 54 before the new building – increased to 71 by the time of the opening. And last but not least, an underground parking garage was built, doubling the parking capacity from 100 to 200 spaces. This is where Pagitsch Gesmbh comes in, who applied a durable concrete floor in the garage and thus brought the entire project to a successful conclusion at the end of 2023.

MORE THAN 3,000 SQUARE METERS OF SMOOTHED CONCRETE

Pagitsch once again proved itself a top choice for large-scale projects: In Grein, 25 cm of concrete was applied and smoothed over a total area of ​​3,270 square meters. Large slabs and virtually no joints created a glossy finish that makes the light-filled underground parking garage even brighter – giving it an unusually inviting feel for such a structure.

FLOORS FROM LUNGAU MASTER CRAFTSMEN

Pagitsch GesmbH is known for high-quality, durable flooring. Master craftsmen from Lungau create industrial floors in various designs, monolithic concrete slabs from 5 cm thick, concrete coatings, and silicate-based surface finishes. They also offer highly professional concrete restoration services.

In Grein, the Pagitsch team also proved that they can meet construction schedules precisely, even under challenging conditions. Work on the underground parking garage took place while the new EUROSPAR supermarket remained open for business, having opened months earlier. This meant that not only the building with its distinctive red frame was occupied, but also the above-ground parking spaces.
