It's a story still told in Ramsau am Dachstein today: In the 18th century, Matthias Prugger acquired the Pehab estate. For four years, he tried unsuccessfully to obtain a tavern license. So, in 1797, he marched to Vienna on foot and personally petitioned Emperor Franz II for the document. A few weeks later, he returned to Styria – with the license. Matthias Prugger's pioneering spirit and can-do attitude continue to shape the health resort and, in particular, the Prugger family.

Matthias Prugger's "beer innkeeper" later became the church innkeeper and is now the Aktivhotel Pehab, run by Clarissa Prugger in the seventh generation. Pagitsch GesmbH also contributed to the 4-star hotel's development into a popular destination for nature lovers. The leading Lungau construction company played a key role in the major renovation and expansion project in 2020.

FACADE, BALCONIES, ROOF TRUSS AND MORE

"(Almost) everything from a single source" was the motto of the Prugger family for this renovation. The hosts' vision was perfectly aligned with the recommendations of the Pagitsch expert team – the timber construction specialists from Tamsweg were therefore given a comprehensive list of tasks:

• Adding two additional floors to the existing building

• Expanding the rooms on the first and second floors

• Roof truss construction

• Connecting corridor to the elevator on the top floor

• Balcony construction with floors and partition walls (battens, insulation, windproof membrane, ventilated battens, supporting battens, larch wood wall shingles)

• Extensive shingling of the facade to create a harmonious overall appearance

Thanks to many years of experience in hotel construction and the prefabrication and intermediate storage of components in their own workshop, Pagitsch was able to complete the major project in October 2020 – just in time for the start of the winter season.
