INTERACTION BETWEEN TWO ECOLOGICAL PIONEERS

In 2016, one of Austria's most modern office buildings was built in Schwaz, the Tyrolean district capital. NATURABIOMAT commissioned the construction to create an optimal working environment for its employees. The family business is committed to ecological, plastic-free waste and packaging solutions. The company is known throughout Austria for, among other things, its dog-walking system, which consists of a dispenser box for (biodegradable) dog waste bags and a trash can, and which adorns many parks and walking paths.

The company building also fits into the mission of these organic pioneers. Solar panels were installed to cover the company's electricity consumption, and rainwater is collected in a deep well for irrigation and wastewater treatment. Deep drilling ensured the building's CO2-neutral heating and cooling. A daily vegetable basket from a local farmer for employees is, of course, a must.

PAGITSCH STRIVES FOR SUSTAINABILITY AND CLIMATE NEUTRALITY

Sustainability is also an important topic in the construction industry; after all, around 40 percent of global CO2 emissions are caused by construction and housing. Pagitsch is aware of this and is committed to the goals of sustainability and climate neutrality. This is achieved specifically by producing and designing Pagitsch products using efficient renewable energy. The "Kinderland" (Children's Land), an in-house childcare facility, also contributes to social sustainability.

The collaboration with NATURABIOMAT included the ceiling design. Pagitsch implemented a climate-controlled ceiling that has both a cooling and heating effect, thus ensuring an optimal indoor climate all year round. Thanks to perforated acoustic panels, the ceiling also functions as an acoustic ceiling. But that's not all: Intelligent design and material selection also ensure air purification. Any additional heating requirements are met by a wall heating system.

CLIMATE CEILING – IDEAL FOR OFFICE SPACES

Pagitsch's CLIMATE ceiling has proven to be an ideal system for air conditioning rooms. Custom productions and the use of perforated panels offer individual design options – virtually any design can be realized in any size. In addition to offices, the CLIMATE ceiling is also suitable for particularly sensitive buildings such as hospitals, schools, and restaurants. If required, it can be linked to the innovative "Pagitsch Compact Control" control unit, which allows precise control of individual components, including lighting.
