Bischofshofen has approximately 10,700 inhabitants, is a transportation hub, and an important economic center in the Salzburg Pongau region. The town is also known for its ski jumping events and is increasingly developing into a tourist hotspot. The fact that primary medical care in this thriving town in the Salzach Valley remains at the highest level is ensured, among other things, by the joint practice of Dr. Alfred Moser (surgery and vascular surgery) and Dr. Susanne Illmer (general medicine).
The two doctors welcome patients to their shared practice on Gasteiner Straße, conveniently located with excellent infrastructure. The architecturally playful building with its small turret contrasts with the two-sided extension housing the entrance and treatment area. Nevertheless, all elements blend harmoniously together, representing Bischofshofen's historical roots and modern outlook. Pagitsch GesmbH contributed to the design of the extension and was well aware of its symbolic significance.
In implementing the project, the Lungau-based facade specialists opted for melamine resin facades on the walls and ceilings (including reveals). Melamine resin is a plastic that, due to its high hardness, heat resistance, and scratch resistance, is also used as a coating for kitchen countertops or as insulation material. The substance is thermosetting – meaning that a firmly cross-linked polymer structure forms during the curing process, which is subsequently no longer deformable.
Melamine resin facades are created by bonding several layers of paper under high pressure to form extremely hard panels. The protective melamine resin top layer protects the panels from the elements, makes them resistant to mechanical stress, and opens up a wide range of design possibilities. A dark color was chosen for the practice of Dr. Moser and Dr. Illmer to ensure harmony with the existing building structure.
Pagitsch GesmbH is also your reliable partner for the design and renovation of building envelopes. In addition to aesthetics, the facade is also a crucial factor for the indoor climate and energy consumption of the building. Pagitsch considers all criteria equally and focuses on attractive designs tailored to the wishes of building owners and architects, combined with optimal thermal insulation. Besides melamine resin facades, this is also achieved with Alucobond solutions and ventilated curtain wall facades (VHF).
Do you envision a facade for your new construction or renovation project that leaves nothing to be desired visually and also meets all energy efficiency requirements? Then Pagitsch is the right partner for you. We look forward to hearing from you and to a no-obligation initial consultation.
