The best example was the new construction and extension at the Steirereck restaurant in Vienna in 2015. The entire planning and implementation had to be completed within a month. This was a particular challenge due to the highly detailed nature of the project. 26 ceiling levels required precise installation at 80 fixed points. More than 1,300 prefabricated components were manufactured to recreate the waves on the ocean surf. Every other wave had to be equipped with LED lighting, and acoustic plaster had to be sprayed on.

The work in detail:

   • round acoustic steppings
   • perforated cooled acoustic ceiling at various heights in the entrance areah
   • incorporation of glass panels for wine cooling
   • sloped ceiling with a three-dimensional look in the restrooms

The angled and rounded ceiling shapes required particular flexibility. However, the Pagitsch specialists mastered this challenge with flying colors, achieving maximum cooling performance and thus ensuring the Steirereck's timely reopening. And with their work, they emphatically demonstrated that a top-class restaurant is a feast for the eyes. The team led by Chef Heinz Reitbauer delights guests time and again with their high-quality culinary creations at the gourmet temple, which has been awarded three Michelin stars since 2025.
